七、2021申请美国名校gpa要求？

每个国家，甚至每个学校的评分系统都不一样，比如大多数美国学校采用4分制，而中国学校采用100分制，印度是10分或4分制，伊朗20分制。如果按照本国的学分申请，美国学校的招生老师会很混乱。所以为了避免这种情况发生，在申请美校时，GPA需要进行换算。

如何换算呢？

比如某学生五门课程的学分和成绩为：

A课程四个学分，成绩92(A)；

B课程三个学分，成绩80(B)；

C课程两个学分，成绩98(A)；

D课程六个学分，成绩70(C)；

E课程三个学分，成绩89(B)。

A课程四个学分，成绩92(A)；

B课程三个学分，成绩80(B)；

C课程两个学分，成绩98(A)；

D课程六个学分，成绩70(C)；

E课程三个学分，成绩89(B)。

按标准换算计算方法是将成绩加权平均数乘以4，再除以100。则

GPA=[(92×4+80×3+98×2+70×6+89×3)×4]/[(4+3+2+6+3)×100]=3.31

另外，比较常见的换算方法还有把各科成绩按等级乘以学分求和再以总学分除之。此时GPA=(4×4+3×3+2×4+6×2+3×3)/(4+3+2+6+3)=3.00

但是有时候，我们会发现录取GPA都超出了4.0。有些同学疑惑了，美国GPA满分不是4.0吗？其实这是因为它们使用了加权（Weighted GPA）算法计算。

Weighted GPA算法是为了考虑选修了高难度课程同学的GPA。对于大学等级的课程（AP课程、IB课程等），计算方法要在该课程整体绩点上加1。对于有挑战的高中课程（一般称为Honors课程），要整体在绩点上加05。

例如：一个学生English，取得了A-；AP Calculus AB，取得了B；AP Chemistry，取得了A；Honors Physics，取得了B；

Weighted GPA为，

English = 3.7;

AP Calculus AB = 3.0+1=4.0；

AP Chemistry = 4.0+1=5.0；

Honors Physics = 3.0+0.5=3.5.

Weighted GPA=3.7+4.0+5.0+3.5除以4，即4.05。

而Unweighted GPA=3.7+3.0+4.0+3.0除以4，即3.43。

可以看到两者相差之大。

小贴士：在可以报Weighted（加权）GPA的时候，大家如果上了高难度可以加分的课程，一定要报Weighted GPA给该大学。如果该大学不允许，也没关系，大学招生官还是会参考学生所上课程的难度来衡量你的GPA的。

八、美国留学申请名校有什么标准？

想申请美国名校，美国TOP100的大学申请要求都有点高，其中有一些条件是必须具备的，下面就为大家解析一下美国TOP100名校申请需要的基本条件。

通常来说，想要申请美国大学一般要提供一定的硬件成绩(各种成绩)，还需要有一定的软实力(所参加的活动或比赛)。

1、在校成绩(GPA)

GPA是指学生的高中在校成绩要把我国的百分制转化为美国的四分制。中国成绩的80-89分相当于美国的3分，90-100分相当于美国的4分。一般美国的大学会要求提供3分以上，即80分以上的高中平均成绩。

美国大学认为SAT、托福之类的考试都可通过短期培训速成的，而在校成绩是学生通过高中3年的努力学习得来的，它可以反映一个学生一贯的学习态度和素质，所以相比语言考试成绩，在校成绩就更为重要。

2、托福成绩

对国际学生来说，托福成绩是反映学生语言能力的一个重要指标。我们需要向美国大学提供托福成绩。如果你的托福成绩不理想，则直接影响学校的申请。

如今，申请美国名校的人数急剧增长，竞争日益严峻。比如美国常春藤名校耶鲁大学，其官网公布的托福成绩要求是100分，但实际录取的学生托福成绩没有低于110分的。100分是申请美国名校的一个分水岭，没达到这个分数的学生就很难被录取。而且这个分水岭还有逐步提高的趋势。

3、SAT成绩

关于SAT考试成绩，并没有许多人认为的那么重要。很多美国学校并不要求学生提供SAT成绩，由于大量学生的SAT成绩都接近满分，再看分数录取的意义已经不大了。SAT高分只是进入美国名校的一个必要条件，而非充分条件。在美国名校审核委员那里，考量SAT成绩不是用来决定是否录取，而是用来决定是否拒绝。也就是说SAT考得好不代表会被录取，但SAT考得差则会被拒绝。如果你的目标也是TOP50，那么SAT1一定要考，SAT2的专项科目考试是选考。
